Stop running away from food

Exercise shouldn’t be a stick by which we beat ourselves for our food choices, writes Killian Byrne

Hands up who hasn’t joked after a race or long run that they’re allowed eat all the pizzas for dinner or every muffin in the shop? Who hasn’t read in a running or lifestyle magazine that their morning snack will take 60 minutes of running to ‘work off’? It’s everywhere, we’ve all seen it! But is it the right thing to think about when talking about our sport? Is it a healthy way to think?
