2026 IAU 100km World Championships

Athletics Ireland is proud to announce the selection of a seven-athlete squad set to represent Ireland at the IAU 100km World Championships, taking place in Ames, Spain on Sunday, 20th September 2026.

Leading the women’s team is Irish 100km record holder Caitríona Jennings (Letterkenny AC), joined by the in-form Patricia McLoughlin (Le Chéile AC).

The men’s team is headed by Irish 100km record holder Ciaran McGonagle (Letterkenny AC), alongside Rob Kelly (Raheny Shamrock AC), Matthew Collins (Portmarnock AC), Terry Shanley (Clane AC), and Sean Meehan (Cherry Orchard Running Club).

The squad will be guided by Team Lead Louis Byrne (Glendalough AC).
