There was a lovely uplifting atmosphere at the Mullingar Park Hotel as young athletes from all counties of Ireland gathered for the Athletics Ireland Juvenile 2025 Star Awards, reports FRANK GREALLY.
Charlie McConalogue TD, Minister of State at the Department of Sport, congratulated the award winners and encouraged them to continue to make the best of their talents
Special Guest, double indoor 400m gold medallist- David Gillick also had words of inspiration for the award winners.
Athletics Ireland President- Brid Golden said:
“No athlete achieves success alone and I would like to acknowledge the support networks behind evert performance- the families, coaches and clubs, along with the Athletics Ireland High Performance and Development Teams, whose guidance and encouragement plays a crucial role in every athlete’s journey.”
Mark Connolly, Chair of Athletics Ireland Juvenile Committee, said.:
“Every award presented here today was closely contested,such is the depth and quality within the Juvenile ranks.”
The overall Award Winner was 400 metres athlete-Conor Kelly from Finn Valley AC.
