Clonliffe Harriers and Dublin City Harriers Claim Senior Titles at National Road Relay Championships

Clonliffe Harriers A.C. and Dublin City Harriers A.C. emerged as the standout performers in the senior races at Sunday’s 123.ie National Road Relay Championships, hosted by Raheny Shamrock A.C. in St Anne’s Park on April 26.

Senior Women

Dublin City Harriers A.C. produced an impressive team display to secure gold in a time of 20:17. Strong, cohesive legs from Orla Duffy, Faye Dervan, and Lucy Holmes proved decisive as they narrowly held off St. Abbans A.C., who finished just six seconds behind in 20:23. Dundrum South Dublin A.C. completed the podium, taking bronze in 20:54.

Senior Men

Clonliffe Harriers A.C. delivered a composed and commanding performance in the final race of the day, claiming victory in 37:04. Anchored by Ian Guiden, alongside Ben Guiden, Fintan Kerins, and Colm Rooney, the team maintained control under pressure to fend off strong challenges from Donore Harriers A.C. (37:28) and Dundrum South Dublin A.C. (37:36).

Masters Women (35+)

Raheny Shamrock A.C. made the most of home advantage, taking gold in 22:32. Longford A.C. secured silver in 22:38, while Crusaders A.C. claimed bronze in 23:07.

Masters Men (35+)

Donore Harriers A.C. led from the front to win in 18:54, narrowly ahead of Raheny Shamrock A.C. (18:58), with Liffey Valley A.C. finishing third in 19:11.

Masters Women (50+)

Raheny Shamrock A.C. added a second title, winning in 24:06. Brothers Pearse A.C. took silver in 25:22, with Donore Harriers A.C. completing the podium in 27:33.

Masters Men (50+)

Dundrum South Dublin A.C. secured victory in a closely contested race, finishing in 20:48, just ahead of Raheny Shamrock A.C. (20:59). Drogheda & District A.C. claimed bronze in 21:05.
