Starting the day with a 59-point lead, Kate extended her advantage by winning both the long jump and javelin before sealing victory in style with a dominant 800m performance.
The Newry athlete set a personal best of 6.37m in the long jump and followed it with a season’s best javelin throw of 52.85m. Despite having a comfortable lead, she attacked the final 800m, surging from fourth place on the final bend to win in 2:10.45.
Northern Ireland teammate Anna McCauley finished second in the race, while England’s Jade O’Dowda held on to silver overall and Australia’s Tori West claimed bronze.
Another commanding display from Kate who confirmed her status as the standout performer of the competition.
