Morton Games 2026 Official Launch

The countdown is on! Morton Games 2026 was officially launched on 17 June by the Deputy Mayor of Fingal, Cllr. Luke Corkery, at Morton Stadium, Santry.

A World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze meeting, Morton Games returns on Friday, 10 July, bringing world-class track and field competition to Dublin in what is the city’s only international athletics meet.

The launch was attended by double World Para champion Orla Comerford, European 10,000m Cup champion Efrem Gidey, and Clonliffe Harriers President Mick Kearney. Both Comerford and Gidey are set to compete on the night.

Deputy Mayor Luke Corkery praised the event, highlighting its importance to Fingal and its values of inclusion, camaraderie, sportsmanship, and legacy.

Meet Director Noel Guiden thanked Fingal and partners Athletics Ireland, DCU, Sport Ireland, and Clonliffe Harriers for their continued support.

Star athletes include Sarah Lavin, Sophie O’Sullivan, Nick Griggs, Darragh McElhinny, Brian Fay, Cathal Doyle, Sophie Becker, Israel Olatunde, Bori Akinola, Orla Comerford, Nicola Tuthill, Jack Raftery, and Efrem Gidey.

Feature events include the Morton Mile, Albie Thomas Men’s 5000m, Women’s 100m Hurdles, International Women’s Para 100m, and Women’s Hammer Throw.
