Andrew Coscoran has etched his name into Irish athletics history with a sensational bronze medal performance in the 1500m European Championship final.
Showing remarkable bravery and determination, Coscoran battled through a dramatic race to cross the line in 3:36.24, securing his first major outdoor championship medal.
The final delivered twists and turns throughout, with Coscoran dropping back to seventh place during the closing lap. But when the moment demanded it, the Irishman summoned an incredible surge, powering through the field to claim a stunning podium finish.
He shared the celebrations with gold medallist Stefan Nillessen and silver medallist Samuel Pihlstrom after an unforgettable contest.
The achievement marks Ireland’s fourth medal of the championships, with more finals still to come.
